Normally, when the weather-people predict wind gusts up to 60 mph, you don’t straighten your bangs and wear your hair down to take your style-blog pics (even if it is just a thrifted style-blog). Not unless you’re the kind of person that likes doing things only to have them undone moments after (I’m not). But, as my husband pointed out, it takes more than mere hurricane force winds to move my hair.
It’s stout stuff, folks. If I ever grow it long enough again to cut it all off and give it away to be made into a wig, they should put a “wind-resistant” notice on it as a selling point.
In fact, I’m kind of relieved by that last shot, since, otherwise, I’d probably have to start using Sally Field’s “brown football helmet” line from Steel Magnolias. It’s a good movie and all, but still. 80’s Southern hair is not usually what comes to mind when the words attractive or stylish are bandied about.
So, let the record show…it took the first thing resembling a storm that we’ve had in months, but three strands of my hair did move.
